To the Editor.—In a report by Adams1 entitled "Neuronal Morphology in the Human Cochlear Nucleus," which appeared in the December 1986 issue of the Archives, there is an erroneous quotation from an article2 that I wrote with Bradley J. Edgerton, PhD. Adams wrote (page 1260, second column, lines 6 through 10) that we suggested in our article that fusiformshaped cells may be modified pyramidal cells. (In Adam's article, the word modified is enclosed in quotation marks.) This suggestion was never made by us. In fact, I cannot find where the word modified ever appears in our article. In addition, my coauthor's name was omitted in the list of references.
