Abstract

Genetics of Hearing Impairment.—The New York Academy of Sciences and the Deafness Research Foundation announce that they will sponsor a conference entitled "Genetics of Hearing Impairment" from September 24 through 26, 1990, at the Sheraton Centre, New York, NY. All of those concerned with hearing impairment will find substantial information in the conference as it will concern hereditary human hearing impairment at all levels. These will include molecular genetics, biochemistry, anatomy, gene expression, epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, sociology, and ethics. The conference chairman will be Robert J. Rubin, MD, Department of Otolaryngology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY.
