Kimura disease is a rare idiopathic condition that usually affects persons of Asian origin, especially young men.1 It was first described in China in 1937 and then reported in Japan in 1948.2 It is characterized by painless, solitary or multiple soft tissue swellings in the major salivary glands, subcutaneous tissue, and lymph nodes in the head and neck region.
