Early Fall in Denali National Park

Arch Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2012;138(11):995. doi:10.1001/archoto.2012.1145

Photographer: Larry Bryant, Chicago, Illinois. “Fall comes early in Alaska, especially at higher elevations. This photograph was taken in late August in Denali National Park when color was at its peak. Most of the color in this area of the park comes from low-lying berry bushes and other shrubs. The mountains in the distance are part of the Alaska Range, of which Mt McKinley (or simply ‘Denali’) is a part, and show a light dusting of snow from the night before.”
