The preface to this volume is a bit of selling talk, prejudicial to a reader skeptical of claims of interpretations and discoveries of secrets of nature. Many statements which occur in the text of the book are of a dogmatic nature claiming to settle questions of human conduct. Some of these questions have interested thinkers from the beginning.
