Courses in Child Development and Parent Education.—The usual summer courses in child development and parent education at the University of Iowa will be from June 8 to August 2 this year.

Orr has been made professor and head of the department of pediatrics of the School of Medicine, University of Buffalo.Northwestern University.—Dr. Stanley Gibson has been made head of the department of pediatrics at the Medical School of Northwestern University, on the retirement of Dr. I. A. Abt.

American Public Health Association.—The sixty-ninth annual meeting of the American Public Health Association will be held in Detroit from Oct. 8 to 11, 1940.
DEATHS
Dr. M.-L. Condat, professor of clinical pediatrics and puericulture at the University of Toulouse, France, died recently, at the age of 53 years.
