This is a revised edition of the previously issued book. It covers the field of child care, primarily from the point of view of mental and emotional development and training in habits. However, there is an adequate picture of the physical growth of the normal child. The illustrations are well chosen and attractive. The book is concerned with the child from birth through adolescence, with emphasis on methods or approaches by which good results can be obtained. There is a fine bibliography at the end of each chapter, covering a wide range of pertinent subject material.
The authors, evidently, have drawn their conclusions both from personal experience in the Institute of Child Welfare of the University of Minnesota and from a thoroughgoing study of a well selected group of modern references.
