Meeting of American Pediatric Society Postponed.—Information has been received from the secretary, Dr. Hugh McCulloch, that the meeting of the American Pediatric Society has been postponed for this year because of war conditions. This is in line with the action of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which likewise has postponed its meetings for the duration of the war.
Dr. Black Honored.—Dr. Arthur P. Black, pediatrician of El Paso, Texas, has received the Sir Henry Wellcome gold medal and cash prize of $500, offered through the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, for his paper entitled "Measures of Preventive Medicine Recommended by the Federal Medical Services to Insure the Maximum Improvement of the Selectee of 1961 Over Him of 1941," the assigned subject in 1942.
