This is "A Manual for Patients, their Families and Friends." Written by an outstanding authority, the book gives a scientific description of the personal, medical and social aspects of the condition for the laity; the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of epilepsy, or convulsive disorders, are simply and interestingly described. The social restrictions, as automobile driving, employment, marriage and progeny, are discussed from a medical point of view throughout the book. The final chapter is devoted to the legal problems presented by persons with this type of disorder.
The book is written in an extremely interesting style. It presents a scientific and practical attitude, which should be of great value to these patients and their families.
