The fourth edition of this comprehensive work covering the surgery of childhood has, in addition to the text, a rather abbreviated index. It is based, as in previous editions, on the actual experience of the author and written in a terse, authoritative manner, on some subjects a little sketchy, on others fully explanatory and satisfying. The whole art and science of the surgery of childhood, fascinating as it is, is covered from the types and methods of anesthesia and when to use them to congenital and acquired deformities, traumas and diseases of all parts of the body, not only the limbs but internal organs as well.
