The text has been thoroughly revised and includes many of the advancements made in the field of pediatrics since the fourth edition was published two years ago. Each chapter contains added material. The author has emphasized the new therapeutic methods, with special attention to penicillin.
The book retains the physical makeup and features of the previous edition. Little attention is given to differential diagnosis.
This text may be recommended as a reference handbook.
