From the point of view of the pediatrician or the general practitioner this work should be an extremely valuable one. Less voluminous and less comprehensive than the standard treatises on dermatology, it still covers adequately virtually all cutaneous disorders that the nondermatologist is called on to diagnose and treat. Furthermore, its approach is completely practical, and the book can easily be followed as a guide in both diagnosis and therapy by one who has not had special training in dermatology, at the same time pointing out those instances in which specialized care is essential.
