This text is divided into 20 chapters and is an expanded and updated version of the 1988 first edition. Six new chapters have been added on topics such as arteriovenous genetic disorders, arteriovenous malformation, spinal cord vascular lesions, and pediatric neurorehabilitation. Case studies from the first edition have been removed and replaced with more illustrations, recent technological developments, advancements in clinical skills, and a survey of the world literature. Contributions to the second edition by Jeffrey Perlman, MD, on "Neonatal Cerebrovascular Disorders" and by Susan Iannaccone, MD, on "Neurorehabilitation After Pediatric Stroke," represent ongoing developments that spark interest in the area of pediatric cerebrovascular disorders.
