I thank Dr Divgi for raising the important issue of sleep disorders among children, especially those with learning and behavior problems. As Figure 1 in our article illustrates,1(p1041) approximately 3% of the very young children diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder were also seen for insomnia, a diagnosis more often used than sleep disorder with this group of children during the study period of October 1995 through December 1996.
