Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may be the only behavioral problem the pediatric practitioner encounters in which the child may be seen with a note attached stating, "Johnny cannot pay attention in class. He needs Ritalin. Signed, Johnny's teacher." The pediatric practitioner in the year 2000 must be prepared to handle the clinical workup and treatment of children with this disorder. The second edition, like the first, offers answers to questions about the effects of Ritalin, titration of dosing, and case management. This book is designed to be a key reference and comprehensive resource for professionals involved in research or in the clinical use and management of Ritalin.
