As my academic radiology career winds down, I am extraordinarily fortunate to be able to pursue my artistic side and in the process play a role in assuring that today's schoolchildren take part in quality musical and dance experiences. It is a sad reality that music education has virtually disappeared from a huge segment of American public schools. I do not for one moment accept such training as a luxury. I was fortunate enough to attend public school when visual and performing arts and music education was highly valued by the system and accessible to all. Participating in the arts in school set the stage for my lifelong passion for music and photography.
