Training Programs at University of Florida.—The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Florida College of Medicine has recently established training programs for (a) advanced work in immunology and infectious disease and (b) noncategorical training leading to research and teaching in pediatrics.
By the first, an interdisciplinary program jointly sponsored with the Departments of Medicine, Microbiology, and Pathology, it is planned to foster competence in both basic and clinical aspects of infectious disease and immunology through a two- to three-year program. Specific plans will be based upon individual needs and interests. The program is available to qualified persons with a minimum of one, preferably two, years of straight internship or residency. Stipends begin at $6,000 per year.
