REPLY TO DOCTOR SELLERS
To the Editor: I have seen copies of the letters of Dr. Sellers and Dr. Goddard to you (Dr. Weech) and I feel that as one of the co-authors I should answer the charges made by Dr. Sellers, all of which are without substance, as he very well knows.It is unfortunately necessary to wash some dirty linen in public, something which I deplore but which is forced upon me by Dr. Sellers and by the Communicable Disease Center. (1) All the authors were notified of the intent to publish this material in the form in which it appeared, and this specifically included Dr. Sellers. (2) Dr. Sellers had in his possession the final manuscript of the paper for a period in excess of six months. At no time did he signify his disagreement with any point of interpretation, presentation, or form. (3) It is perfectly
