Editors' Meeting in Tokyo, Nov 11, 1965.Those pediatricians who were permitted to attend the Eleventh International Congress of Pediatrics in Tokyo, Nov 7-13, 1965, will long remember the excellence of the scientific program, the courtesy of the Japanese hosts, and the careful planning of details which ensured the success of a great world-wide gathering. The Congress accentuated the spirit and stressed the need of international cooperation. Taking place at a time of political unrest and smoldering nationalism seeking self-expression at the expense of the rights of others, it fostered an atmosphere of good-will among far-flung peoples brought together by dedication to a common cause.An event of special importance occurred on Nov 11.
