To the Editor: In the article "Kwashiorkor in the Bronx" by Drs. Taitz and Finberg which appeared in The Journal (112:76, 1966), the statement was made that Kwashiorkor prior to their report had been described in only two patients north of the Rio Grande in the western hemisphere. It should be brought to the authors' attention that in 1961, I reported three cases appearing in Navajo children in Arizona,1 and in my article I made reference to four cases that had been seen in Louisiana.2
