Abstract

American Academy of Pediatrics Postgraduate Course.—A postgraduate course entitled "Recent Advances in Adolescent Medicine" will be presented by the George Washington University School of Medicine in conjunction with Children's Hospital of DC, Washington, DC, with the sponsorship of the American Academy of Pediatrics on May 21, 22, and 23, 1969. The course will be directed by Dr. Felix P. Heald and scheduled guest speakers will include J. Roswell Gallagher, MD, Hardy Hendren, MD, Jules Hirsch, MD, Kenneth Kenniston, PhD, James Lieberman, MD, Janet Mac Arthur, MD, James M. Tanner, MD, and Bennetta B. Washington, PhD. Recent advances in various aspects of adolescent medicine will be covered. After each formal presentation, ample time will be available for audience participation. The course is designed to provide a fundamental base of knowledge that will foster a better understanding of the individual problems of adolescents by the practicing pediatrician.
