Abstract

A severely retarded epileptic, microbrachycephalic child, had an ataxic puppet-like gait and a proneness to uncontrollable paroxysms of laughter. These and additional abnormalities were similar to those in several previously reported patients. It seems likely that a distinct syndrome is represented by these children, though its precise delineation, in both diagnositc and etiological terms, is still incomplete.
