Abstract

A 15-year-old boy had well documented uveitis followed by the initial clinical manifestations of multiple sclerosis. The association of these two disorders has been noted in the ophthalmologic literature in the past, but the coincidence is not generally appreciated. Such clinical data might support the recently intensified research efforts to link a "slow virus" to the etiology of multiple sclerosis.
