Abstract

A 14-year-old girl, hospitalized twice because of kidney stones with no other clinical symptoms of hyperparathyroidism, was operated on; a parathyroid adenoma was found and removed. Significantly elevated values of ultrafiltrable calcium in plasma supported the diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism.
