Abstract

A latex agglutination slide test for antistreptolysin O and a microadaptation of that test designed for pediatric office use were compared to a standard tube dilution hemolysis method. Both slide tests proved to be valuable screening devices with no false-negative reactions and a false-positive rate of about 33%.
