To the Editor.—Dr. Szalay's letter emphasizes a point made in our paper that, "We do not believe that all enteric duplications are derived by such a pathogenetic scheme" (in-utero vascular abnormality). We concur with the need for such emphasis.
The presence of pancreatic tissue in gastric duplications is unexplained on firm scientific grounds although one could "arm-chair postulate" all sorts of dysembryogenetic influences.
