The fourth edition of Pediatric Therapy edited by Dr. Shirkey is dedicated to A. Ashley Weech, MD, Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and former Director of the Children's Hospital Research Foundation, Cincinnati. In the development of the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Weech's influence touched the lives of the editor and many of its 96 contributors.
This book is divided into 22 parts with 119 chapters. There are sections concerned with drug therapy, adverse drug reactions, general therapy, newborn care, infectious diseases, pediatric psychiatry, disorders of body systems, hereditary metabolic derangements, tumors, pediatric surgery, and poisoning. In addition to revising the previous edition, many new contributors have been added.
