Hemophilus influenzae Cellulitis

Hemophilus influenzae cellulitis has been reported rarely. The syndrome of sudden onset of fever and distinctive cellulitis in a child under age 2 should alert the physician who should obtain blood cultures and begin vigorous treatment. Response to appropriate therapy will usually be rapid.
