Abstract

Two cases of insulinopenic diabetes mellitus occurred a few days following mumps. Insulin secretion was undetectable in one case, while in the other, some insulin reserve was retained. Viruses possibly play a role in the clinical expression of insulinopenic diabetes mellitus.
