This book is not a balanced review of the subject as might be inferred from the title. The subtitle, "Clinical Study of Diagnosis and Treatment in Over 1,000 Children," is the more accurate indication of what is to be found. I suspect the best way to approach this book is to regard it as a clinical research presentation similar to one that might be found in the medical literature, but at the same time to recognize that it has not undergone the scrutiny of referees from an editorial board.

The work consists of a personal statement by a psychiatrist and neurologist based on their work in a community clinic. The major ambiguity centers about the problem of patient selection.
