Though small when compared to other recent books on pediatric allergy, this volume surpasses many of those not only in the quality and scope of its contents, but also in its currentness and up-to-date references. Edited by Jonathan Brostoff, MD, a well-known British allergist-immunologist, the proceedings of the first Unigate Paediatric Workshop held in London in June 1973 include reviews on various aspects of allergy written by many outstanding workers in the field. Most contributors are British physicians: Jack Pepys, MD; John F. Soothill, MD; A. R. Hayward, MD; C. B. S. Wood, MD; L. Wide, MD; John L. Turk, MD; S. I. Katz, MD; N. S. C. Rice, MD; B. R. Jones, MD; Geoffrey Taylor, MD; and Margaret Turner-Warwick, MD; others include Robert P. Orange, MD, of Canada; S. Freier, MD, of Jerusalem, Israel; and Bernard B. Levine, MD, of New York University Medical School. A major attribute of
