Abstract

In Reply.—There is no question that the "women's movement" is threatening to some men, but I am not certain that it has had a negative impact on fatherhood. On the contrary, it has provided higher expectations and more opportunities for the father to have a more active caretaker role with his children. How well prepared the father is for these experiences is another question altogether, however.
