Group B Streptococcal Septicemia and Delayed-Onset Diaphragmatic Hernia: A New Clinical Association

Am J Dis Child. 1981;135(8):723-725. doi:10.1001/archpedi.1981.02130320037013
Abstract

• An infant with group B streptococcal septicemia had a course that was prolonged due to the occurrence of delayed-onset congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Thirteen comparable cases were identified. Since group B streptococcal sepsis and diaphragmatic hernia on the right are both infrequent events, their association may constitute a significant clinical entity.
