Have you wished for years that you knew of a book on nutrition for parents that was as sound scientifically as it was readable? Growing Up Healthy is that book, and I recommend it with enthusiasm and a clear conscience. If you are interested in nutrition, Myron Winick, its author, is no stranger to you. He is a professor of pediatrics and nutrition at Columbia University and also director of the Institute of Human Nutrition and director of the Center for Nutrition, Genetics, and Human Development at the same institution. Dr Winick has talked and worked with many practicing pediatricians throughout the years, and through his personal research, he has contributed significantly to the body of knowledge related to brain growth and nutrition.

The mere prospect of reading 240 pages of detailed nutrition information is enough to unnerve the most dedicated parents, for, indeed, most tomes on the subject are
