Word Omission.—In the article titled "Recurrent Seizures After Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis Immunization: Cause and Effect v Temporal Association," published in the October AJDC (1984;138:904-907), an important word was omitted from a sentence in the text. On page 905, column 1, in the second full paragraph, the first sentence should have read: "At the present time there is no scientific proof that pertussis vaccine causes recurrent seizures in children." The omission of the word recurrent makes the statement incorrect, and this word was inadvertently omitted in editorial processing.
