Incorrect Phrasing.—In the article titled "Should Child Abuse and Neglect Be Considered When a Child Dies Unexpectedly?" published in the September AJDC (1985;139:876-880), a sentence was phrased incorrectly. On page 879, in the "Comment" section, the last sentence of the article should have read: "5. Reporting for SCAN is warranted if a child dies unexpectedly and (a) has specific evidence of abuse or neglect or (b) is in the high-risk group (DOA or ≤1 year of age) and the possibility of abuse or neglect is not eliminated by medical and social service evaluation."
