In Reply.—Many types of correspondence arrive at our offices. The letter from Mr Kremske is unusual in several respects. First, he apparently has not read Dr Schetky's editorial, just a report of it in a newspaper. Second, he argues for an "extreme slant" of the facts concerning children and firearms, without paying much attention to the full body of the article in AJDC. Last, he takes the AMA and our Board to task by asking if we "stand behind the comments of Dr Schetky."
The AMA does not interfere with the editorial content of AJDC; in no instance has any officer, official, or other AMA representative challenged the editorial staff for anything that has been published in our journal.
