In Reply.—Drs McGee and Silva provide excellent data on 60 children noted to be uncooperative with health professionals at 3 years of age. These data confirm my concern that these children continue to have fearfulness, shyness, and separation problems at a follow-up visit at age 5 years. The data also underscore the need for active intervention rather than merely watchful waiting of this high-risk group.
