—In the article entitled "Six Children With Lead Poisoning," published in the September 1990 AJDC (144:1039-1044), "bronchoalveolar lavage" on page 1040, right column, sixth complete paragraph, the last sentence, should have been "BAL." The sentence should have read: "The Ca EDTA is ineffective in crossing into the cerebrospinal fluid, and because there is concern about the possibility of lead encephalopathy, BAL is given in addition to Ca EDTA, as recommended in the Centers for Disease Control guidelines.5"
