In the Original Investigation entitled “Adverse Neonatal Outcomes Associated With Early-Term Birth” published in the November 2013 issue of JAMA Pediatrics (2013;167:1053-1059. doi:10.1001/jamapediatrics.2013.2581), incorrect information appeared. On page 1055, in Table 1, “Initiation of prenatal care, mean (SD), mo before delivery” in column 1 should have read “Initiation of prenatal care, mean (SD), mo of pregnancy.” On page 1056, in Table 4, the adjusted odds ratio (95% CI) for duration of hospital stay greater than or equal to 5 days should have appeared as 1.37 (1.11-1.71) and that for respiratory distress support should have been 1.93 (1.57-2.83). On page 1058, the last sentence of the first paragraph should have read: “The need for mechanical ventilation or intubation was 6-fold higher and the requirement for surfactant use was 7-fold higher in early-term neonates compared with their term counterparts.” This article was corrected online.
