To the Editor Gordon et al1 report a meta-analysis demonstrating the association of resistance exercise training with reduced depressive symptoms compared with nonactive controls. The report is timely and important: as the global burden of depression continues to increase, we need to understand modifiable factors that might help reduce this burden now more than ever. However, the meta-analysis by Gordon et al1 leaves many questions unanswered.
