With this issue of JAMA Psychiatry, we initiate a new article type for the journal: JAMA Network Insights. We selected this article type as a good addition to the journal’s portfolio because psychiatric practice is rapidly evolving. JAMA Network Insights articles are intended to update mental health clinicians on developments in the literature regarding frequently faced clinical scenarios. This article type is already used in other JAMA Network journals to provide timely and concise reviews on management of common clinical scenarios. This addition reflects our constant efforts to make JAMA Psychiatry both a great venue to publish cutting-edge research and an indispensable resource for our general psychiatry audience.
