The Neuroses.

Arch Gen Psychiatry. 1968;19(3):384. doi:10.1001/archpsyc.1968.01740090128022
Abstract

This is a tremendous book containing 191 clinical vignettes, 48 tables, a glossary of psychiatric concepts and terms, a series of review questions after each chapter, selected and general references and bibliography, and a detailed index. Its writing must have taken a lifetime of serious commitment to the extensive problems of the neuroses and the author has certainly covered the ground in great detail. The writing is smooth and easily understood. Each of the 15 chapters has an introductory detailed outline of its contents. Such an immense work can only be sampled by a reviewer. What I have read leads me to recommend this work as extremely valuable to students and practitioners of psychiatry.
