Abstract

In an ongoing evaluation of the impact of a course on continuing education in community mental health, basic attitudinal change toward mental health and community mental health services is not as signifiicant as changes in the delivery of these services. Activities in the area of secondary prevention changed significantly more than those in either primary or tertiary prevention. An important issue in the success of such a program would seem to be the ongoing communication and exchange of ideas among the members who have taken such a course and who are still involved in the promotion of community mental health.
