he contribution of Coryell et al to the February 1992 issue of the Archives, on rapidly cycling affective disorder, is one of many such recent ar- ticles that seem to contain no reference to borderline personality disorder, despite the fact that mood lability is a hallmark of this disorder. I wonder if Coryell and his colleagues would care to comment on the possible overlap, if any, between these two diagnoses.
