Selective vs Nonselective Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs and Anastomotic Leakage After Colorectal Surgery

To the Editor We read with great interest the article by Hakkarainen et al¹ published in JAMA Surgery, the results of which are intriguing. The authors report the results of a retrospective cohort study of patients undergoing bariatric or colorectal surgery using data from the Surgical Care and Outcomes Assessment Program linked to the Washington State Comprehensive Abstract Reporting System.¹
