Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) incidence is increasing globally despite recent advances in hepatitis C antiviral therapy and is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.1 This has led to the development of a multidisciplinary approach and enhanced treatment modalities involving interventional radiology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, hepatobiliary surgery, and transplantation.
