To the Editor We read the article by Utter et al,1 “Therapeutic Anticoagulation for Isolated Calf Deep Vein Thrombosis,” with great interest. Treatment of calf vein thrombosis is a topic of interest to physicians in a wide variety of specialties. Unfortunately, the treatment decision is not standardized and is often left to the judgement of the physician.2
