"Echoes From Surgery's Valhalla" deals with the founders' group of the Central Surgical Association who now reside in Valhalla, a mythical Nordic resting place assigned to persons of special honor who have left this world. Twelve members of the founders' group are recalled to the meeting, and questions are posed by the president, covering the composition, scope, and administration of the association as these relate to the future. The president extrapolates from the founders' group records on file in the Archives. The philosophy of the president is presented at the conclusion of the interviews with the deceased members of the founders' group. The accomplishments and honors which have accrued to the members of the association are documented.
