The treatment of malignant lymphoma has advanced tremendously with the development of curative supervoltage radiotherapy and combination chemotherapy. The efficacy of these two modalities is well established. Why then, as expressly stated by the authors, should two surgeons write a book on the subject of malignant lymphoma?
